The most common complaints my offices receive revolve around parking issues. These can range from residential permit parking, clearance problems, valets, meters, loading zones and standing zones. During my campaign I made a commitment to address these issues head on. Over the past year I worked with the Department of Transportation to develop a strategy to identify and study these issues with hopes to present to the community with viable solutions. I am please to announce two studies which are currently underway. There is the South Loop Parking and Transportation Study and the West Loop Parking Study. These two studies are fully funded and consultants are in the field collecting data, interviewing constituents, and preparing their findings for a summer community meeting. If you are interested in providing input for these studies please send an email with your information to ward02@cityofchicago.org with the parking study of your interest in the subject line. In time our consultant will contact you or use your input in their data collection.
